What is the intented goal of OSonaStick.com?
To sell low costs but high quality USB sticks with or without versions of open source projects bundles containing programs like Damn Small Linux OS, Feather Linux OS, OpenOffice, Filezilla, Firefox, Camino and many, many others.
Of all the profit generated by osonastick.com sales 1/3 goes to osonastick.com and 2/3 goes back into open source projects.
The 2/3 is divided in the following manner:
- 1/3 goes into Website Baker (Free PHP-based CMS system that I have used to create some websites - see websitebaker.org)
- 1/3 goes into zencart and/or osCommerce (eCommerce sollution that the osonastick.com shop will use - see zen-cart.com and oscommerce.com)
- 1/3 project of your choosing (either a selected linux distribution or other open source project)
Simply said, as an example for every $10 profit $3.33 goes to osonastick.com and $6.66 will be divided amongst the selected open source projects.
Why?
Because I like using open source projects, but haven't had allot of possibilities to support them. This will (hopefully become) my way of supporting them.
